Our session with the playwright, screenwriter and actor, Bella Heesom at The Groucho Club in July 2026.
Bella is one of the writers of the Netflix hit Sex Education. For Amazon, Bella wrote Your Fault: London, and Our Fault: London. She currently has projects in development with the BBC, Hill 5.14 Media and Studio Lambert.
In 2016, Bella co-founded theatre company All About You with Olivier Award-winning director and dramaturg Donnacadh O’Briain, which produced both of her plays: My World Has Exploded A Little Bit (Ovalhouse, ACE National Tour, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Highly Commended: VAULT Festival Awards, published by Oberon Books) and Rejoicing At Her Wondrous Vulva The Young Woman Applauded Herself (★★★★ ‘the glittering poetry in Heesom’s script, so vivid and visceral that sometimes the stagecraft feels redundant in comparison to the glory and guts of the words.’ —Guardian).
