We started Write Club because we wanted to create a safe, supportive and welcoming community that dispels many of the myths of being a writer. Constantly challenging the understandable fear that says "I write or want to write, but I'm not a writer".

Write Club is - above all else - a Club. If you want to be part of our community there's a constant invitation to join the creativity. Our aim is to be accessible to everyone - irrespective of experience, background or financial means. Running events that welcome all energies - introverts and extroverts, nervous first timers, to welcoming back attendees who have been coming for years.

Today, Write Club is a community made up of both Club Members and Guest Speakers. Each of our Write Club sessions are led by a talk from a professional writer, first sharing experiences throughout their careers, then setting an exercise that our participants respond to within the session.

Each of our sessions includes time to both write and socialise, where participants are able to share ideas and histories. It's this community that we're most proud of creating and curating.

We offer two ways of joining our sessions - £20 per event, or free and priority access when joining our Write Club creative membership program.

"As a reemerging artist returning to my work since becoming chronically unwell, the Write Club Membership Program has been instrumental to my creative output within a kind and supportive container. Write Club has become my anchor, grounding me in the knowing that I am being held accountable to consistently write new and unexpected pieces, pushing my boundaries in the most comfortable way possible.

The membership allows early access to a range of inspiring writing workshops in beautiful locations including House of Koko, The Groucho Club, The Royal Academy of Arts and The Barbican. Each event features a professional writer from a multitude of backgrounds and genres including journalists, screenwriters, novelists, poets, playwrights and musicians. All sharing in-depth insights into their unique journeys as well as setting the writing prompts that give the participants the opportunity to create and share something brand new in real time.

Write Club is wonderful for building networks and friendships, as well as writing alongside talented individuals you may not usually get to meet. The membership is great value for money considering the access it provides and the level of hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to write!"

"Write Club is a truly special community built around a shared passion for the creative process of writing. Matt and Susanna have created a welcoming environment where anyone can feel at home from their very first session. Being part of this journey has not only connected me with like-minded people, but also given me the confidence to grow and make real progress in my own work."

"I’ve always loved to write - a school essay, a carefully composed email,  a wildly self-indulgent journal entry. But I’m not a writer by profession - which made walking into my first Write Club session alongside published authors, copywriters and directors feel utterly daunting.

Yet to my own surprise, I found myself coming back again and again. And then one day, a real sense of belonging to the most inspiring community where we spend evenings wrapped around wine glasses sharing snippets of ideas, thought-provoking conversation and the most beautiful stories. Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes gut-wrenching, sometimes outrageously silly - but always meaningful.

It’s become a creative home I can always return to."
